I recently attended the year 2 hard dance class through NS Audio, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. As a music enthusiast, I entered the class with high expectations, and I’m delighted to say that every one of them was surpassed.
From the moment I stepped into the classroom (and teaching studio), the atmosphere was very good with creativity and passion. Our instructor, Ramon (Never Surrender), exuded a contagious enthusiasm for music that ignited a spark within each of us. The expertise was sensible from the get-go, and his ability to break down complex musical concepts into digestible nuggets of knowledge was truly amazing.
What truly set this class apart was its hands-on approach where we needed to work on our own EP with 4 songs! Rather than drowning us in theory, we dove into practical exercises, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the world of Harddance music production. Whether we were learning kicks, experimenting with leads, or harmonizing in vocal exercises, every session was a very good experience!
But it wasn’t just about mastering the different production techniques; it was about discovering the magic of music production as a whole. Through captivating discussions on music theory, insightful analyses of iconic compositions, and eye-opening glimpses into different harddance genres, we gained a deeper appreciation of the possibilities out there.
Moreover, the sense of a good community within the class was truly heartwarming. I knew next to nothing about music production before I started year one, but having completed year 2 now a couple of years later, I can work ideas out into tracks how I imagined them.
As described in the lesson plans, you learn all the basic elements that make up a track, you learn to mix them yourself, you learn to master them and you even learn how to release them on Spotify. You learn everything you need to be successful.
Next to learning everything about music production, you get to meet a whole bunch of people with the same dedication, whether you follow the classes online or in person. It just opens up a world of possibilities.
Even after you’ve finished both years and it is time to continue to grow on your own, you aren’t alone because of the people you’ve met, and the connections you’ve made.
I had so much fun doing this course, and I wish I could do it all over again. 10/10 recommend!

Net klaar met leerjaar 1 en wat ben ik blij dat ik deze keuze heb gemaakt om deze course te volgen. Ik had van tevoren nooit kunnen bedenken zoveel stappen al te zetten na een half jaar.
Ook is zowel online als fysiek erg goed te volgen. Ik kan iedereen deze course absoluut aanraden!

Echt super toffe tijd gehad: jaar 1 afgerond, jaar 2 binnenkort starten.
Jaar 1 gaat echt over de basis van het produceren. Beginnen vanaf scratch en opbouwen naar een complete track, het was precies waar ik op hoopte. Sound design, arrangeren, de feedback (niet alleen op de techniek, maar ook de mindset), het maken kicks, screeches, leads, etc. Het heeft mij enorm geholpen om dingen die ik al wist op zijn plek te zetten en daarbij enorm veel nieuwe dingen geleerd. Ik produceer nu sneller, bewuster, beter en met meer zelfvertrouwen.
Jaar 2 zal dan echt de aanvulling gaan worden om het geheel naar het volgende niveau te brengen. Heb er enorm veel zin in.
Wat mooi om te lezen, Bob! Je hebt enorme stappen gemaakt. Wanneer je wat onzeker was over je kicks en vervolgens iedereen ‘WOW’ hoorde roepen tijdens de laatste les, waren wij enorm blij voor je!
